Gujarat is known for its entrepreneurial spirit. It is important for the state government to keep the spirit high and the same is evident from the launching of its initiative Kal Ke Krorepati (KKK) – Chhote Sheher Bade Sapne. The initiative is basically designed to spotlight booming startup ecosystem of India. The show is launched on Zee Business and Tata Play’s Channel No 515 (Har Ghar Startup). It is more than a TV show. It is a platform for dreams.
The show was inaugurated in Ahmedabad by actor and entrepreneur Suniel Shetty. His presence highlighted the importance as well as impact of the initiative. The Gujarat Chapter is the first of the series and the same will be replicated across other Indian states.
KKK is produced by Iroller Media and Ent. It is co-production by FAVCY Venture Builders and Alka Gor. Jade Blue is the costume partner and Karnavati University is providing the venue. The show is about securing funding as well as about fostering significant economic growth. The initiative witnessed 500 business proposals from startups across Gujarat and 27 of the promising ones were selected.
Startups faced questions from prominent investors like Sushil Sharma, founder and CEO of Marwari Catalysts, in the first episode. Sharma has invested more than 80 crores in 75 startups. Dr. Neha Sharma, founder director of Accelerate India, has mentored more than 1000 startups. Naveena Reddy from Lead Angels and Mihir Joshi from GVFL Ltd. were also part of the panel.
The two startups which were featured in the first episode were Urjabolt and Shira Medtech. Urjabolt was presented by Aditya Kumar and Hemant Bisht. It offers electric cargo and driver services to improve last-mile connectivity for businesses. Anand Parikh’s Shira Medtech is revolutionizing surgery with microvascular clamps.
