Tata communication which is a digital part of Tata Sons is now working on to deepening its existing partnership with the Microsoft Azure with the addition of the latter Wide Area Network service to its cloud platform IZO. The addition will even make it easier for the TATA communication enterprise customers to transform their traditional WAN to software designed hybrid network.
The solution which is based on the Microsoft Azure Service Provider Management Toolkit, was revealed on last Monday. This tool will even assist the company networking Managed Service Partners program and enable the enterprises to connect seamlessly to cloud-based data and applications.
“While businesses will look to use software-defined networking, network transformation initiatives in large organizations with hundreds of branches worldwide can be very challenging. The solution will provide for simple, unified, and secure connectivity, and transform their legacy network to a software-defined hybrid network that’s fit for the cloud,” Song Toh, vice president, global network services at Tata Communications, said.
Tata communication manages the cloud networking of more than 3000 sites across the globe. Its clients include the beer maker Carlsberg which has even moved 70% of its traffic to a software-defined network, the company revealed. This has been helped the Danish Brewer to use 20 times kore band with while even reducing the costs by 25% and reduced the occurrence of network incidents by half.
“We see enterprises wanting to simplify branch connectivity and extend application workloads on Azure. The fully-managed suite of services gives enterprises the flexibility to choose from a range of connectivity options that best meet their specific needs in each branch, both on-premises,” said Ross Ortega, partner program manager for networking at Azure.
