Technology-based sanitation startup Fresh Rooms has now secured the seed funding round of Rs 3 crore from the angel investors.
“We are in conversation with other investors as well,” Ashutosh Giri, founder and chief executive officer of Fresh Rooms, said in a statement. ”The funding will be used to expand the brand to key cities and busiest destinations of the country.”
The startup which is founded in the year, Indore based Fresh Rooms operates the pay and use Washrooms which is based on the model of the Internet of Things, where cleaning takes place automatically after every use and just requires the minimum human intervention.
The service charge which is paid by the users and consumers gets converted into the points which can be redeemed easily to buy the refreshments such as the Coffee, tea or any other eatable items.
The startup which is run by the Feeinsta Consulting and Services Pvt Ltd, Fresh Rooms is currently operational in some other parts of Madhya Pradesh and is aims to expand into some of the metropolitan cities.
“The perception about public toilets in India is completely gloomy. That’s why we have taken this challenge to change the entire ecosystem of public sanitation,” Giri added.
The company reveals that its mobile app will allow the users to gather much more detailed information about the surrounding restrooms such as the details of opening hours, accessibility, parking, and nearest services.
Giri has more than 11 years of professional experience in sales and relationship management. Before starting Fresh Rooms, he was an assistant manager at Daikin Airconditioning India Pvt. Ltd. He was previously a sales executive at Panasonic India.
Another startup which is also operating in the wellness and hygiene space is PeeBuddy, it has secured Rs 2.95 crore from the Angel investors.
