16-year-old tech prodigy Pranjali Awasthi is making waves in the tech industry with her AI startup, Delv.AI. Launched in January 2022, her new venture has attracted investments of about Rs 3.7 crore and is valued at around Rs 100 crore. The mission of her startup is to help academics quickly find information in the vast online landscape and it is gaining attention on LinkedIn. She received crucial support from On Deck and Village Global’s accelerator program.

Pranjali Awasthi oversees all aspects of her startup including coding and customer care. She houses a small and effective team. She credits her engineer father for sparking her early interest in technology, which led her to start coding at the age of seven.

At 11, her move to Florida opened doors to computer science and advanced math programs. The entrepreneurial journey began at 13 during an internship at the research labs of the Florida International University. Amid the pandemic, she worked on machine learning projects and conceptualized the idea of Delv.AI.

An important moment in her journey was her acceptance into an AI startup accelerator in Miami, managed by Lucy Guo and Dave Fontenot of Backend Capital. This highlighted her commitment to pursuing her dreams, even if it meant temporarily pausing her high school studies. She proudly mentioned the successful beta launch of Delv.AI on Product Hunt.

Despite strong emphasis on education by her parents, she chose to defer her college aspirations to prioritize her responsibilities and commitment to her enterprise. She envisions a future return to formal education to acquire business acumen, which will further enhance her entrepreneurial journey and she could come up with something more unique and interesting in the future.
