Tech giant Google’s latest Smartphone is surely going to be a treat for all technology enthusiasts. Called as Google Pixel, the handset will come power packed with Google Assistant, giving its owners the luxury of having their own personal Google. It’s important to note that this is the first Smartphone that will come with a built-in Assistant.

Starting at $649 (or £599 or AU$850), the phone was launched today during a Google launch event. The phone’s pre-booking has started from today itself and the phone is expected to hit the markets on 20th October. Unfortunately, the pre-orders are only open in the UK, US and Australia.

One of the USP’s of the Google Pixel, is HTC. Yes, the Taiwanese company is back with a bang in the Google-making business. For the unaware, HTC was also the hands behind the debut Google Nexus device, and has now picked up the baton again for the new Pixel Smartphone. While the firm’s branding isn’t visible on the smartphone, it is very much involved in making the device a reality.

Sporting an aluminium and glass design, the Google Pixel is a device with attractive and sophisticated look and feel. Google will launch the device in three different colours: really blue, quite black and very silver.

The phone will come with a powerful Snapdragon 821 processor, which is backed up with a good 4GB of RAM. The 5-inch touchscreen phone will run on Android Nougat, which is Google’s latest mobile platform.

In order to offer the users’ better performance than others Smartphones currently in the market, the tech giant has gone with a non-removable 2,770mAh battery for the Google Pixel. Whether this would make much difference is something which can only be evaluated with time.

The Google Pixel also offers its customers the luxury of fast charging via its USB-C port. The port will allow a user to get seven hours of usage by charging for just 15 minutes.

On the camera front, the device sports a decent 12.3MP rear camera. According to Google, Pixel’s camera has received the highest ever DXO rating for a smartphone, meaning Google Pixel is a perfect device to have for all photography hobbyists.
