One of the largest domestic tech company Tech Mahindra is now working on the upcoming 5G rollouts in the global worldwide markets as one of big opportunity and is on the right trajectory in its communication domain to achieve ‘gradual growth’ from now on the top as per the officials said.
In the past, communications which have traditionally been one of the mainstays for the company officials had also delivered mixed results due to the difficulties which are faced by the sector across the globe, but the company has also surprised with a 4 percent growth in the revenue in September quarter which is as of now compared to the preceding three months.
“On the telecom side, our visibility is that it will show a gradual growth from now on, the trajectory is right, and we should be able to sustain it,” chief executive and managing director C P Gurnani told PTI recently.
Gurnani singled out the upcoming 5G technologies as one of the main opportunity for the company to expand, as many countries have allocated spectrum in the newest technology to the telecommunication.
The COO of the Tech Mahindra, L Ravichandran said that the hiring has not grown in proportion to the revenue growth due to the greater automation and has also added that a bulk of the recent hiring has been of the freshers.
The company as of now has hired the first half of the fiscal which also includes 2200 in the first quarter he said, which adding it is looking to hire more people.
The company is working on ways to up the margins, including automation, increasing utilization, more efforts on training so that employees can start working on projects quickly and pursuing the right business mix, he said.
