Tech Mahindra uses blockchain for tackling spam calls

One of the largest IT InfoTech services and consultancy firm, Tech Mahindra has now deployed a blockchain based solution that will be going to address the issue of an unsolicited commercial communication or the spam calls, the company revealed in a report.

The solution deployed for the sector of the telecom that will impact around 400 million mobile subscribers. The Pune based company started as an information technology solution provider to the telecom companies.

In the year 2018, Tech Mahindra had designed the blockchain solution in compliance with all the regulations and guidelines of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, in order to enable the telco provider to prevent any of the unauthorized access of their subscriber data, it revealed.

The Global Practice leader for Blockchain at the Tech Mahindra revealed that the technology was expected to be a trillion dollar market by the end of 2030 as adoption accelerates.

“With the concerted and coordinated efforts by the Indian government and the industry backed by appropriate regulation, India can continue to sustain and enhance its leadership position in blockchain technology. We are betting big on blockchain as part of our TechMNxt charter, to deliver tangible business value and to provide a differentiated experience to end-customers of our clients,” Dhuddu said.

Before this, tech Mahindra had also revealed a partnership with the data security startup i2Chain to build a blockchain base cybersecurity solution.

Just two days back, Tech Mahindra and the New York-based Robotics Process Automation specialist UiPath had also jointly launched an AI-driven automation solution for the service desk operations at the enterprises.
