The Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of India (ALEAP) has lately signed a Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) and the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). The collaboration was announced during the foundation day celebrations of ALEAP.
The RAMP Project (Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance) is at the core of the initiative that aims to train 16,000 women from Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to become entrepreneurs. It is of course a crucial step in equipping women with the skills and resources to succeed.
It is encouraging to see leaders like Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu backing such initiatives.
Awards were presented to the startups and women entrepreneurs during the event to further reinforce the importance of recognizing and celebrating achievements. Such acknowledgment boosts confidence and also inspires others to dream big. Programs like the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) and certifications like ZED is a gesture that support for women entrepreneurs is about promises as well as about meaningful actions.
ALEAP has been quietly revolutionizing the entrepreneurial landscape for more than three decades by helping 50,000 people to set up their businesses in the MSME sector. Their dedication to empowering women entrepreneurs deserves applause and particularly in a world where women still face significant challenges in accessing opportunities and resources.
Economies thrive when women succeed and it is high time to celebrate as well as support such efforts wholeheartedly.
