With the launch of Whatsapp, WhatsApp Business has initiated testing new prompts asking users to link up their Facebook and Instagram accounts to reach more and more users. The Meta-owned instant messaging application Whatsapp is nudging beta testers of WhatsApp Business to bring in new customers through the availability of a separate banner. For beginners, the flag is reaching a handful of beta testers on Android, and it is expected to launch the banner to iOS testers in the coming weeks.
As per the report shared by the WABetaInfo, the new banner is discussing with WhatsApp Business users to link their Instagram and Facebook accounts that have been started reflection over the latest beta version of the messaging app for Android phones.
By becoming active, the banners will bring in new customers by advertising their business on both the platforms mentioned above.
The cross-platform banner can also be helpful, as Meta is planning to expand the utilization of ads on Instagram and Facebook to direct users to WhatsApp Businesses.
Earlier in October, Meta analysed gross advertising revenue of Rs 16,189 crore in India for FY22. This has been marked as a remarkable rise of 74% year-on-year (YoY) growth, per the company’s recent filings with the Registrar of Companies (RoC).
Last week WhatsApp launched the ability to support 1,024 members on its group chat support. The launch is going to help 32-member group video calls. The company is also expected to launch its much-awaited Communities feature.
In May, the platform was detected to be working on a status reply indicator that users will visualize when they receive replies to their status updates. However, Meta still needs to introduce a timeline for the release of this feature, which is still in the developmental stage.
