In a major development, the Facebook-owned famous and popular instant messaging apps Whatsapp is reportedly working on extending the time limit for the delete for everyone feature. The delete for everyone feature was rolled out in the year 2017 and initially had a time limit of seven seconds that later to get extended to 4096 seconds in the year 2018.
As per the website, a website that helps to track Whatsapp revealed that the time limit for using the delete for everyone feature might be increased to an indefinite period of time. The publication even shared a screenshot where it has showcased that a message from three months ago was still eligible to get deleted for both people.
As per the WABetaInfo, also reported separately that Whatsapp Beta for the iOS is getting a new video playback feature interface to allow users to play and pause in the video in full-screen or close the PIP (Picture in Picture) window.
As of now, Whatsapp also started rolling out a new end to end encrypted chat backup for Android and iOS users across the globe. With the help of a new feature update, if a user chooses to back up his chat history with end to end encryption, it will b highly accessible only to him, and no one will be able to unlock the backup. Neither whatsapp nor the backup service provider will be able to access their end to end encryption backup.
Moreover, Whatsapp has released a new special Diwali animated sticker pack. With the help of these new Diwali animated stickers; Whatsapp wants to make users feel festive while maintaining social distance amid the Covid-19 pandemic times.
Whatsapp has also revealed animated stickers, especially for the Diwali purpose. Using these stickers, users will be able to send Diwali greetings to one another at the comfort of their homes and keep in mind the importance of social distancing.
