KT Corporation, which is a South Korean based telephone company has now collaborated with America headquartered software services provider Amdocs to launch and monetize innovative 5G for the end enterprises and consumers, according to the report which has been revealed.
As a part of the deal, KT Corporation will now be going to use the Amdocs service monetization and convergent charging solution for the 5G commercial services which it had recently launched.
“The future is here and live, with KT becoming one of the pioneers in 5G commercialization with faster data rates and an array of compelling services that lead the market,” said Anthony Goonetilleke, group president of media, network, and technology, Amdocs, in the statement.
Amdocs as of now has initially deployed its solution to support the KT 4G services.
“With 5G supporting new types of services such as e-sports streaming, high-speed online gaming, and augmented and virtual reality services and apps, service providers need to quickly develop new use cases, launch and monetize them to attract consumers by delivering an experience which is unprecedented,” Goonetilleke said
He also further revealed that the monetization and service relationship for the service provider demands more flexibility in terms of the loyalty, payments mechanisms, advertising, third-party packaging, and some other innovative customer engagement initiatives.
Amdocs which is listed on the NASDAQ provides its software services to the companies operating in the media, financial and communication services as well as with the digital enterprises.
