Unraveling Impact of IoT Connectivity Woes on Businesses

In the buzzing world of modern business, where technology holds the reins, one recurring villain relentlessly haunts the landscape: IoT connectivity issues. A new report from rSIM found that a huge 90% of businesses face big problems with their IoT connections every day.

Imagine this: Almost half of the businesses in the survey (43%) said that problems with their connections have caused big changes in the lives of their staff or customers. Additionally, a quarter of the businesses admitted to being victims of cyber attacks, directly stemming from these connectivity woes. It is not just about losing Wi-Fi, but it is about losing trust from customers, money and maybe even more.

Zeroing in on the United Kingdom, 90% of businesses have reported witnessing the exodus of sales or customers due to these connectivity glitches. The same is worrying businesses all around the world.

As more and more people use 5G, the pressure on both networks and businesses gets bigger. The report says there will be a huge 7 billion IoT devices using cell service by 2033, showing how much we will rely on connections. But businesses are finding it hard to keep up with all these new devices because the current networks aren’t strong enough.

Here comes rSIM, bringing hope with their amazing new product. It is a special SIM card that keeps an eye on connections all the time and changes to a different provider if there is a problem.

Richard Cunliffe, the visionary director of rSIM, encapsulates the urgency of the situation succinctly: “The more connected the world becomes, the less we can live with the outages we see day to day, and the more critical connectivity becomes to daily life.” With Deutsche Telekom IoT and Tele2 already onboard as connectivity partners, the stage is set for a paradigm shift in the realm of IoT connectivity.
